0.429 -> What’s up guys, in this tutorial, I will
show you how to fix update issues for Mac
4.94 -> OS Ventura.
6.81 -> This should be quite an easy tutorial, for
more information, click on the first link
11.28 -> in the description below.
13.15 -> First, you should make sure that your Mac
is compatible with Mac OS Ventura.
18.46 -> You can find this information in my guide
linked in the description below, or on other
23.699 -> sites, such as the Apple support website.
27.31 -> If your device is not compatible, then you’re
required to install a previous Mac OS version
32.22 -> first.
33.559 -> The “How to download macOS” Apple support
page will redirect you to the Mac OS download
38.829 -> of your choice.
40.7 -> After downloading the dmg.
42.09 -> file, you can proceed with the installation.
45.59 -> Newer devices should be able to update their
OS through the Mac OS system settings.
51.609 -> Open up your System Settings and navigate
to the General section.
55.789 -> Here, under Software Update, try to update
your Mac again after closing all applications
61.86 -> that are running in the background.
63.949 -> To make sure that no other apps are running,
and using up your network traffic or memory,
68.72 -> click on the Apple icon on the top left of
your screen and select Force Quit.
74.15 -> On this window, select to quit all apps aside
from your System Settings.
79.27 -> Next, head back to your settings and in the
General section, click on Storage.
85.56 -> Make sure that you have at least 5GB of storage
left to download and install the latest software
90.659 -> update.
92.22 -> In case you’re unsure what to delete, then
you can start by emptying your bin and deleting
96.899 -> files on your desktop that you no longer need.
100.19 -> In your Network settings, make sure that you
are connected to the right network, and below,
105.56 -> disable your VPN service in case you are using
one, as well as your Firewall for the time
110.759 -> being.
111.759 -> A VPN will mask your location and can cause
download issues when enabled.
117.829 -> The last step in your settings would be to
set your date and time correctly.
123.62 -> Back in your General settings, select Date
& Time.
127.78 -> Here, simply enable the Set time and date
automatically option.
133.34 -> When disabled, this can cause install issues
for newer Mac OS versions.
138.9 -> When this is done, you can try to update your
Mac again.
142.73 -> If you’re still unable to download or install
the update, then open up your App Store application.
148.17 -> Here, you’ll be able to look up Ventura
(or any other Mac version) and click on Get.
155.81 -> This will download the update through your
App Store and you can then install it, hopefully
160.659 -> without getting the installation error.
163.73 -> If all of these steps did not fix your problem,
then this issue is most likely related to
168.44 -> an unreliable network connection, a lack of
admin rights or peripherals connected which
174.4 -> can screw up the installation.
176.78 -> First, make sure that you are using a reliable
network connection.
181.66 -> You might be using a public network that blocks
large downloads, or your ISP is having issues
187.61 -> connecting to servers.
190.02 -> You might want to test your network connection,
using Speed Test, for example, which will
194.58 -> help verify where this problem could be coming
from.
197.93 -> Next, restart your Mac and unplug all mice,
keyboards, and other peripherals which could
204.14 -> cause issues.
206.15 -> After a system restart, log into the account
which has admin privileges, and then you should
211.439 -> be able to install the update on your Mac.
214.45 -> All of these steps and additional information
will be available in my extensive guide linked
219.54 -> in the description below.
220.65 -> I hope this helped you out, leave a comment
if you have any questions, and see you in
