5.319 -> Is your trading software giving you a Not Responding message?
8.12 -> The cause of this problem is that a Custom Indicator and/or Expert Advisor you have attached
13.49 -> to a chart, or perhaps many charts, is not programmed with a limited history look back.
19.43 -> Every day you login to your platform the history files on your computer get bigger and bigger,
24.65 -> giving your Custom Indicators and/or Expert Advisors more and more data to read over time.
30.939 -> Eventually the calculations become too great for your system and the platform locks up
35.47 -> completely, giving you the Not Responding message along the top.
39.789 -> To correct this problem, and get your software working again, we must first delete the charts
44.61 -> you have open on your platform.
46.11 -> Because your platform is not responding, we will have to do this through the file directory.
51.469 -> Hopefully you have created templates for your chart setups.

58.37 -> Let’s get started.
60.52 -> With your platform open, please take note of which Profile is currently active.
65.59 -> To locate this, look at the status bar at the bottom of your trading software.
70.36 -> The center field contains the name of the profile that is currently active.
74.53 -> It will usually be the Default profile, unless you are using a custom profile that you have
78.799 -> created.
80.119 -> Once you have this information noted please close the trading software.
83.77 -> You may have to force the program closed using the system Task Manager.
87.81 -> To do this, on your key board press CTRL, ALT, and DELETE, all at the same time.
93.29 -> In the menu options select Start Task Manager.
97.03 -> In the Task manager go to the Applications tab.
100.71 -> Find the Interbank FX Trader 4 in the list.
103.99 -> Left click on it so that it’s highlighted, and select End Task at the bottom.
109.229 -> Once you see that the program has been closed, you may also close the Task Manager.
114.47 -> Now that the program is closed, locate the Icon on the desktop you use to open the software,
119.7 -> and right click on it.
121.07 -> In the menu, select Properties.
124.42 -> This opens a properties window, and you will be on the Shortcut tab.
128.399 -> Toward the bottom of the properties window select the “Find Target” button if you
132.44 -> are still running Windows XP, or the “Open File Location” button if you are running
137.799 -> Windows 7 or Vista.
141.07 -> Another window will open.
142.73 -> Scroll up the file listing until you find the Profiles folder.
147.04 -> Double left click on it to open it.
149.449 -> You may see several folders here.
151.919 -> Locate the folder with the name of the profile that was active on your platform before we
155.98 -> closed the software.
157.73 -> Double left click on it to open it.
160.519 -> You will now see some chart files.
162.919 -> Please delete all of the files in this folder.
165.6 -> The fastest way to do this is to press CTRL and the letter “A” on your key board at
169.79 -> the same time.
171.26 -> This will select all of the files in this folder.
174.05 -> Then right click on one of the highlighted files and select Delete.
178.62 -> You may be asked to confirm this action.
181.419 -> Select yes to confirm.
