0 -> In this video, I am going to show how to  install chrome OS alongside windows 11 or
5.34 -> windows 10 with Google Play & linux Support on  any Pc or Laptop. We are going to use FydeOS,
11.64 -> which is known to be super lightweight and  based on Chromium OS. This allows us to try
17.16 -> chrome OS with android apps on any x86 PC  or laptop that has AMD or Intel CPU. The
24.96 -> main goal of FydeOS, it’s designed to  bring the Chrome OS experience to the
29.22 -> Old Pc or Laptop. You can even try chrome OS  or FydeOS on your new laptop if it is slow.
37.86 -> The Pre-requisites of this video  * You need a PC or Laptop With
42.06 -> UEFI support  * Next, You need an 8 GB or higher
45.3 -> USB drive to create a bootable disk with FydeOS * Lastly, You need to reserve a free space of
51.66 -> 40GB or higher from your existing drive if you  wish to install ChromeOS alongside Windows 11.
58.62 -> If in case you have a spare drive, you  can use that to install chrome OS.
63.12 -> For the sake of demonstration, I  will be using My HP Pavilion Gaming
67.56 -> Laptop and show you installing Chrome OS  alongside windows 11 as a part of a dual
72.96 -> boot setup. The process will be similar  for any PC or Laptop. That being said,
78.78 -> It’s time to create a Partition for ChromeOS.  Open Run Dialog, and type this command. This
85.62 -> will open a disk manager, which shows all of the  connected drives along with their partitions. As
91.56 -> you can see in my case one drive is connected.  If you notice, Drive 0 has three partitions.
96.54 -> The first one is the EFI partition where the  windows boot loader is present. The second one
102 -> is the Main windows and the last one is the  recovery partition. I am gonna choose the C
106.8 -> Drive to shrink the free space for Chrome os.  In your case, it might be D E or F whatever,
111.72 -> just choose the Partition and right-click on  it. Now, choose shrink volume and allocate a
118.08 -> minimum of 40GB or higher for ChromeOS. You  can type the value in MegaBytes. In my case
123.78 -> I am going to allocate 100GB and click on shrink  this will create an unallocated free space. Then,
131.28 -> right-click on the free space and choose to create  a new volume, and name it whatever you want.
140.22 -> That's it now we have done  creating a partition for Fyde OS.
148.86 ->   Now,
149.4 -> Open your favorite browser, go to the official  website of Fyde OS & download the latest version.
157.98 -> If you have an intel PC with iGPU  that falls between the 3rd to 8th
162.78 -> generation choose the first option.  If you have an intel PC with iGPU
167.28 -> that falls between the 9th to 12th  generation choose the second option.
171.78 -> Lastly, if you have an intel or AMD CPU with  a graphics card choose the last option.
184.92 -> Next up, head over to this  website and download the Balena
188.34 -> Etcher. Once it's downloaded  go ahead and install it.
191.76 -> Now, go ahead & connect the USB drive to  your PC or Laptop. Once it's connected Open
198.24 -> Balena Etcher. Then choose flash from  the file and import the FydeOS. Now,
203.94 -> Select the USB drive and click on flash.  Sit back & relax, the flashing process
210 -> will take a few minutes depending on  the writing speed of your USB drive.
227.16 -> Now go ahead & reboot your computer.
232.32 -> While it’s rebooting you need to enter  into BIOS settings. Use the keyboard
237.3 -> shortcut based on your motherboard.  Mostly it could be F2, F9, or ESC key.
250.26 -> The first thing to do after entering  into BIOS is to enable USB boot.
259.32 -> Then, change the Boot order by setting  the USB drive as the primary boot.
265.92 -> Now go ahead and disable secure boot  which is very very important. Otherwise,
270.12 -> Chrome OS or Fyde OS will not boot.
273.36 -> If you have any option like Microsoft's  third-party UEFI Certificate, go ahead
278.4 -> and enable it. It’s also better to clear  any keys or certificates after disabling
282.84 -> the secure boot. This way it won’t cause  any installation problems with Fyde OS.
287.34 -> Once it’s done, save the changes. Now your  system will boot into Fyde OS from the USB
292.56 -> drive. If in case it fails to boot, use the  boot menu to load Fyde OS install media.
305.82 -> Now, when you are inside the live setup of  Fyde OS, go ahead and choose your language and
310.86 -> keyboard layout. Then click on get started.  Now the FYDE OS installer will present two
316.08 -> options. Install FydeOS or try it before  installing. It's always a better practice
321.06 -> to try it before installing it and see how it  works. For now, I choose to install fydeOS.
330.3 -> If in case you want to install fydeOS by erasing  windows use the first option. But for now, we are
336.72 -> installing FydeOS along a side with windows 11.  I am gonna choose the multi-boot installation.
353.16 -> Then select the free space  as the target partition.
362.94 -> Then choose the EFI option, and it will find  the Windows EFI partition automatically.
369.54 -> Now, select this option to  install Refind Boot loader.
380.16 -> Once it's done, click on install.
381.84 ->  Sit back and relax the installation will take  some time depending on the speed of the drive.
392.04 -> Once it’s done, go ahead & shut down  your computer. Then remove the USB drive.
405.66 -> Once the screen goes black, press the power  button to turn on the computer. You will see
410.94 -> the re-find boot menu, from here you  can boot into windows 11 or fyde OS.
416.135 -> Once you are inside Fyde OS,
465.78 -> the first thing to do is to enable the  android subsystem. Go ahead click here
472.56 -> on this notification, agree with the terms and  conditions, and install the android subsystem.
497.34 -> Once it's installed, head over  to the start menu and open App
500.88 -> Store. Then install Open Google Apps or  GApps to enable google play services.
539.94 -> Once it's enabled, restart your PC. Now,
542.88 -> you will get access to the Google Play store.  Go ahead and log in with your Google account.
554.28 -> Once you logged in, relaunch the  application. Now you can install
558.24 -> android apps & video games. I tried subway  surfers, asphalt 9 and it works fine.
576.42 -> It’s time to set up a Linux Subsystem that  helps to run desktop apps like VSCode,
582.24 -> Android Studio, and More. To do so,  open settings - advanced - developers,
587.22 -> and turn on the linux development environment.
595.2 -> Using the setup screen, you need to create a VM.  Allocate the desired amount of free space for the
601.2 -> linux system and click on install. Wait for a few  minutes to finish the installation of linux. Once
607.68 -> it's done, you can see a terminal window. As you  can see it has installed the Debian 11 system.
616.74 -> Go ahead and update the system  by running this command.
622.62 -> Once it's done, you can  install any app or package.
630.06 -> If you have installed GUI apps It will add  to the chrome os start menu automatically.
640.92 -> It's also recommended to set up a flatpak  to install more apps. To do so, enter into
647.82 -> super user mode by running this command.  Then type this command to install flatpak.
658.14 -> While it's installing, head over to this page,
660.78 -> choose Debian, and copy the  flat hub repository URL.
673.68 -> Once the flatpak installation is  done, paste the line over here.
681.6 -> Now you can install any app like VSCode,
683.82 -> android studio using the flatpak and it  works next level without any issues.
710.28 -> That's pretty much this is how you install chrome
712.86 -> OS or FydeOS alongside windows 11  as a part of a dual boot setup.
725.76 -> As a bonus part of the video,  if in case you don’t like Fyde
729.18 -> OS & decided to uninstall then,  reboot your computer to windows.
740.94 -> Once you are inside windows 11 open the terminal  and type this command to open the disk manager.
748.62 -> Here in my case next to the C drive,  there is one partition quoted as RAW,
754.02 -> we need to delete this partition.
761.04 -> You can merge back the free space to windows 11.
770.58 -> It's time to delete the re-find the bootloader. To
773.4 -> do so, open the command prompt and  choose to run it as administrator.
779.52 -> Inside here type Disk part, then type list  disk. As you can see, this is my main drive
786 -> where the EFI partition is located. I am gonna  select this drive by typing this command.
791.64 -> Then type list partition and it's gonna show  all of the partitions present inside this
796.86 -> drive. We need to look for a partition named  a system also known as the EFI partition,
803.28 -> in my case, it’s the first one. Select  this partition by typing this command.
810.6 -> Then assign a drive letter  to mount this partition.
813.72 -> Once the drive letter is assigned to the EFI  partition. Exit from the Disk part. Now, type
820.02 -> this drive letter with a colon assigned for the  EFI partition which In my case is the letter r,
825.9 -> and press the return key. Now, type cd EFI to  change the directory into the EFI partition.
835.8 -> Then, again type dir to see the contents of this  folder, Here you can see both windows & FydeOS
842.58 -> bootable files. Go ahead and remove these  three folders by running this command,
847.32 -> which indeed is going to remove all  of the boot files related to fydeOS.
862.38 -> Now, restart the computer and you  can see the system should boot
865.68 -> into windows 11 without any issues. That's pretty much it, if in case you
870.66 -> like this video, hit the thumbs up down here and  show your support. Thanks for watching my video,
875.4 -> this is been KSK ROYAL, I will  catch you in my next video.
