1.18 -> Rollup Helper is meant to be easy to set up
and use, but in this series of videos, I’ll
6.029 -> review the steps to troubleshoot your rollups,
and how to fix common issues.
11.54 -> Each of these steps will be covered more in-depth
in separate videos, but here is the order
16.289 -> to check issues:
18.62 -> If you’re waiting for a Rollup to Process,
but the target field is staying Null…
23.44 -> Check the Queue.
24.91 -> Make sure Queue items are completed and are
not stuck or backed up
28.82 -> If Queue items are stuck - check Apex jobs
If the Queue item completed but the target
35.64 -> field didn't update…
37.76 -> Check Rollup Helper Exceptions including Record
locks and Filter Field Validation
42.5 -> If the Rollup appears to be running successfully but the
target field still does not have the expect result
50.09 -> Use the Rollup Preview to ensure filters are
configured to return the expected result
56.149 -> After all of that is completed, look into
issues of Rollups not running in Real-Time
60.92 -> if needed
This video is going to go over step 1B - What
66 -> to do if you’re encountering the "Field
Filter Validation Exception" error.
70.75 -> If you need instructions on any of the other
steps, please check out the other videos in
76.14 -> this playlist.
77.9 -> What to do if you’re encountering the "Field
Filter Validation Exception" error
82.79 -> Note: this error isn't a validation exception
and cannot be overridden with validation helper;
90.32 -> it's set up as a lookup field filter, not
a validation rule.
95.28 -> A field on the target object has a Lookup
Filter which has a 'Required' Filter Type.
101.57 -> Since the affected record cannot be updated
due to the Lookup Filter, Rollup Helper also
107.02 -> cannot update the record.
110.259 -> Field filter validation exceptions cannot
be ignored by Rollup Helper's 'Enable Validation
115.69 -> Rule Helper' custom setting - the same as
field custom validation exceptions.
122.27 -> This error is most frequently caused by lookup
filters which will need to be either manually
128.67 -> corrected, removed, or set to optional.
132.739 -> If the error message isn't descriptive enough,
make sure the value in the field adheres to
137.81 -> the rule; find the filter criteria when editing
the field under the object manager from setup.
145.25 -> If you DO have a Validation Rule error, open
the exception record from the Rollup Helper
150.629 -> Exceptions tab and look for the field called
“DML Failed Record IDs.”
157.169 -> You can then go to those records and correct
the data or modify the validation rule so
162.489 -> it passes for that record.
164.889 -> If you still need help or have other issues,
there are many ways to find answers.
170.079 -> For self-service, we have the Rollup Helper
admin guide both in-app and on our website,
176.09 -> and we also have a Knowledge Base where you
can search for your issue.
180.43 -> If you want to get in touch with our support
team, you can email us at [email protected],
187.409 -> you can start a live chat on our website,
or you can sign up for a one-on-one session
193.249 -> to ask questions.
