0.28 -> What’s up guys, in this tutorial, I will
show you how to fix the “installation failed”
5.2 -> error you are getting when trying to install
updates on Mac OS.
8.47 -> This should be quite an easy tutorial, for
more information, click on the first link
14.29 -> in the description below.
16.779 -> First of all, click on the Apple icon on the
top left of your screen and then select Force
22.1 -> Quit.
23.1 -> You’ll be required to force quit all applications
which could interfere with your Mac system
28.39 -> files.
29.929 -> Common culprits are Discord, Zoom, CCleaner
or Steam.
35.3 -> After ending all of these processes, open
up your App Store application.
40.79 -> On this window search for Ventura, Big Sur
or any other Mac OS version you are using.
47.82 -> In case you’re unsure about which version
you are using, then head back to the Apple
51.66 -> icon and select About this Mac.
55 -> This will help you find out which Mac OS version
you are using.
59.35 -> After looking up the exact version, click
on Get.
63.5 -> This will restart the update request for your
Mac and should fix the installation failed
67.83 -> error you are facing.
69.89 -> In case the problem persists, then open up
your System Settings.
74.57 -> Depending on which version you are using,
your settings will look a bit different.
79.82 -> On Mac OS Ventura, navigate to the General
section of your settings.
85.14 -> From here, click on Storage.
87.97 -> Ensure yourself that you have enough storage
left to download the latest Mac OS update.
93.229 -> To quickly free up potential storage, proceed
to empty your recycle bin and uninstall unneeded
99.32 -> applications on your system.
101.67 -> Next, back in your general settings, click
on Software Update.
107.38 -> Here, click on Advanced, or on the “i”
icon.
112.369 -> Make sure that all of these options are toggled
on, besides the Install application updates
117.399 -> from the App Store, which you can leave toggle
off.
120.479 -> You can then test if you’re able to install
the latest update.
124.42 -> If you’re still getting the error, then
you might be using an unreliable network connection.
130.94 -> I suggest testing your network connection
using a speed testing site or application
136.28 -> such as Speed Test.
137.83 -> Here, you’ll be able to test your average
upload and download speed.
143.09 -> Make sure that you have a stable download
speed.
145.87 -> If this is not the case, then you’ll have
to switch your connection or use an ethernet
150.39 -> cable to ensure the best possible connection.

your Mac before trying to install the latest
