7.604 -> Hi, I'm Mat
from eSpares.
9.529 -> In this video, I'll
show you what to do
11.382 -> if your Samsung ecobubble
washing machine
14.146 -> displays the error code 4E
16.74 -> 4C or 4C2.
19.616 -> Error codes on a
washing machine's display screen
23.309 -> alert you of any faults
that have occurred with your appliance.
26.591 -> If yours is displaying
4E, 4C or 4C2
31.369 -> it means there is an issue
with the water supply.
34.179 -> Not to worry though because
we can show you what to do
36.447 -> to get to the bottom
of the problem.
39.041 -> If this error code is displayed
on your machine
41.792 -> you won't be able to
turn the machine off
43.378 -> or on again for
at least three minutes.
45.957 -> After this turn it off
47.4 -> and then back on
48.945 -> if the error code
is still displayed
51.22 -> then this is what
you should do.
54.012 -> Before carrying out any work
55.461 -> make sure your
washing machine is turned off
58.133 -> and fully disconnected
from the mains.
62.057 -> For this fix, you'll need
a Phillips screwdriver
65.134 -> a pair of pliers
66.88 -> and a towel to catch
any water spillages.
70.375 -> The first thing you need to do
is to inspect the water inlet pipe.
74.317 -> This is the pipe that connects
the mains to the water inlet valve.
78.141 -> Inspect it for any tears or kinks
80.894 -> if it is damaged it will
need to be replaced.
83.943 -> Next, you need to check
the small mesh inlet filter
87.625 -> to see if it is clogged.
89.896 -> This filter is used to sift out
91.42 -> as many impurities from
the water as possible
95.002 -> and is particularly useful
96.795 -> if you live in a
hard water area.
99.485 -> If the filter is clogged
101.005 -> you'll need to clean it
with running water.
105.411 -> If you've checked
your water inlet pipe
107.622 -> and the filter
and they're both working correctly
110.357 -> then the problem will lie
with the water inlet valve
113.985 -> which is located at the back
of the machine here
116.939 -> and I'll show you
how to replace that
118.738 -> to get your washing machine
up and running again.
121.688 -> First, you're going to need
to find the correct water inlet valve
125.731 -> for your make and model
of washing machine.
128.746 -> To do this you're going
to need to find the model number.
131.755 -> You can see our video here
133.923 -> for help on where to find
the model number for your appliance.
138.091 -> There's also a link
in the description below
140.849 -> where you can find
the correct water inlet valve.
144.639 -> Now sometimes
145.575 -> the new valves do not come
with this metal bracket here.
149.412 -> So you'd need to
take it off the old one
151.63 -> and connect it
to the new one.
154.273 -> Once you found the correct
water inlet valve for your machine.
157.546 -> You'll need to turn off
the water supply to the machine
160.544 -> and disconnect
the water inlet pipe.
163.64 -> You may need
to use a towel
165.155 -> to catch any
water spillages.
167.503 -> Next, you need to remove
the top of the appliance
170.296 -> by undoing the
two screws at the top
172.764 -> using your
Phillips screwdriver.
190.653 -> With the top off
191.649 -> you can see
the water inlet valve here.
196.541 -> Next, unscrew the two screws
199.018 -> that keep the water inlet valve
connected to the back panel.
211.081 -> Once the screws are removed
213.825 -> you can disconnect
the electrical connections from the valve.
223.58 -> Before using
a pair of pliers
225.702 -> to disconnect the pipes
from the valve as well.
229.519 -> Put your towel down
to catch any water spillages
233.287 -> then using your pliers
235.236 -> pinch the jubilee clips
237.275 -> move those up the hose
239.535 -> and then twist
and pull the hose off
244.423 -> and do that on both sides.
249.717 -> Once the old inlet valve is removed
252.204 -> grab your new one.
254.122 -> Fit the hoses
255.923 -> onto the ends
257.81 -> and then using
your pliers
259.673 -> reattach the
jubilee clips
262.824 -> at the end of the hose.
267.6 -> Connect your
electrical connections
272.851 -> and then screw it
into the back of the machine.
282.067 -> Replace the top panel
284.575 -> onto the machine
and refit the two screws.
291.787 -> We hope this video
has been useful
293.884 -> in helping to replace the
water inlet valve in your washing machine
297.959 -> and to make sure the error code
on your display is no longer showing.

is up and running again
