0.08 -> in this video we're going to show you
how you can fix this kind of error
8.48 -> it says here error p22 this is applicable for
canon g series and the model that we have here
19.04 -> is canon g2010 and also in our monitor the error
support code is five zero one two or 5012 okay
32.88 -> so just stick around to this
video for the full tutorial
54.64 -> okay so before we start let me give
you an idea what p22 error is all about
61.84 -> so p22 error is all about faulty scanner assembly
okay so it's either you have faulty scanner
72.08 -> lens so this is the lens or you have faulty
scanner motor or you have faulty scanner flex okay
84.48 -> and um as an end user the best advice or opinion
we can give you is to check the scanner flex
94.16 -> before you are going to replace
the whole scanner assembly
98 -> okay so let's start so let's turn off the printer
105.68 -> so we need to check the flex cable of the scanner
assembly so the cable of the scanner is located at
112.4 -> the right side of the printer along with the logic
board so in order to remove the right side cover
122.48 -> uh we need to remove first the back
cover or the rear tray of the printer
140.96 -> so at the back of the printer there are two
screws here one on the left and one on the right
160.24 -> and then just uh pull it upward so
you can move to the cover after that
175.92 -> there are four lock on the right
side cover two is on the top side
182.56 -> and then the other two is on the bottom side okay
212.16 -> then once removed slide to the right side
corner slowly okay so there you go uh
229.6 -> you can see you can see now the flex cable of
the scanner so there are two flex cable here
235.52 -> so let's check first the bottom part of flex cable
244.56 -> okay so check any loose connection between the
scanner and the logic board okay also if you have
255.84 -> damaged flex cable or bend pins on the cable
okay so here to remove the cable just pull it
269.68 -> so once you confirm that the cable is okay then
you have to check also the pin the contact pin
278.08 -> of the cable so be sure that there are no dirts
okay and there are no bend pins in the flex cable
288.96 -> so do the same on the other uh flex
cable of scanner check for any bend pins
296.56 -> and any dirt so uh anyway if you found some
uh dirt on the cable especially on the contact
305.44 -> contact pin then you can use an alcohol to clean
to clean the contact pin okay so just use a tissue
316.96 -> and an alcohol then just clean the
contact pin for any dirt you find
330.48 -> so be careful not to bend the pin otherwise you
will damage the flex cable or the connection
339.84 -> between the board and the scanner assembly
okay so do the same in the other flex cable
350.96 -> so once you are done then just
put it back and be sure that you
357.84 -> uh insert the flex cable to the right port
373.68 -> okay so that's it so before we are going to
378.08 -> put back the right side cover let's
check first if this procedure works
421.6 -> there it goes it works okay so as you can
see guys uh the printer is now in ready mode
430.72 -> so we have fixed the p22 error or 5012 so this is
the best way for an end user this is the best you
442.16 -> can do before replacing the whole scanner assembly
so check first for any damage from the flex cable
450.96 -> any bend any cut before you're going to replace
the scanner assembly okay so i hope this video
