0 -> Hi guys, welcome to WebSensePro. I'm your host Bilal Naseer with a really important video nowadays.
5.82 -> So a lot of WordPress websites got hacked due to a recent malware on essential add-ons for Elementor.
12.16 -> If you're a WordPress developer, you might have heard about it. And after these websites got hacked, a lot of websites were seeing
19.28 -> Japanese malware issue. So if you go to Google and search your website,
23.7 -> you might be seeing weird pages indexed on Google just like this.
30 -> So if you're having this type of issue on your WordPress website,
32.88 -> I'm gonna help you how you can remove this weird Japanese results from your Google searches.
38.28 -> If you want to learn, stick to the video. Don't forget to subscribe the channel. Without further ado, let's jump into the screen.
50.32 -> So guys, that's how website was showing up on Google searches when there was a Japanese keyword hack on the website.
58.32 -> So there were a lot of lot of pages indexed in Google searches with showing this weird search result.
63.96 -> And after we removed this, now it looks like this. So there are only
70.72 -> actual pages of the website which are indexed in Google.
76.12 -> So these are the steps which I'm going to go over with you guys to remove the Japanese keyword hack from your WordPress website.
83.36 -> The first step is to check the Google results and in order to check Google results,
88.56 -> you will need to add site double dot and then
92.68 -> domain name of your website and
95.56 -> check if you have this kind of spam showing up on your website.
100.32 -> If it's showing up, then what you will be doing next is check Google search console.
106.48 -> Now, I've already created a video on how you can install Google search console on your WordPress website. I'm going to put
113.76 -> a link in the video description so you guys can learn how to install Google search console, which is a really important part of SEO.
121.04 -> Okay, once you have Google search console stored and
126.12 -> dashboard of your search console open,
128.36 -> you will need to go to pages and
132 -> then from pages click on crawled, currently not indexed. So as you can see there are
138.96 -> 1174 pages which are crawled, but not currently indexed.
143.2 -> Meaning these pages were
145.88 -> injected falsely or with malicious code through your website in Google search console to force Google search console
154.32 -> to add in the weird
156.76 -> Japanese keyword
158.8 -> through your website, which were not actually existing pages. So when you go to
164.52 -> crawled, currently not indexed in
167.32 -> page indexing of Google search console and
170.04 -> scroll down, you will see a lot of pages like this and
180.04 -> I
181.68 -> mean a lot of lot of pages which are all
185.28 -> showing a same pattern. So they are ending with .html and all have weird words on them.
194.16 -> So once you do that
201.04 -> you will need to add
203.28 -> these two lines to your robots.txt file, just like I did with this website.
211.16 -> So if I open up the robots.txt file, I have these files added
217.24 -> which tells Google and all of the search bots that do not index files which are ending with
225.24 -> .html and
226.92 -> obviously, if you have a WordPress website, you should not have any .html files. You should have all the URLs
234.64 -> like this. So if I open up my
237.48 -> website, which is our client website, this is our client from New York and
245 -> for them we built a website and we are managing SEO as well.
249.04 -> So if I click on any of the page in a page, you can see that it does not have any extension, right?
255.56 -> So that's how you should have
257.84 -> the permalinks of your WordPress website submitted to Google search.
264.12 -> Now make sure to add these two lines to your robots.txt file.
269.08 -> Now I'm assuming you already know how to edit your robots.txt file.
273.6 -> You can easily go to your file manager and edit your robots.txt file. I'm using Yoast SEO plugin
280.2 -> where I have already created a detailed
283.28 -> tutorial on how you can install Yoast SEO and install Google search console using Yoast SEO plugin.
289.32 -> Okay, after adding these two lines in your robots.txt file, our next step is to
295.76 -> add
296.92 -> 404 to home page WordPress plugin. So that's a really
301.88 -> common plugin which you can use to redirect all the weird pages to your home page.
307.36 -> So that's the plugin which you will install which will redirect all of these weird pages to your home page.
314.56 -> So if I open up any of this page,
317.36 -> it will automatically redirect me to
320.76 -> my home page.
322.76 -> As you can see it automatically redirected it to home page.
326.2 -> It did not show any 404 result which is good for which is better for SEO. You should not have any
332.16 -> 404 showing up in Google searches.
334.68 -> Okay.
335.96 -> So after installing this plugin create a txt file for uploading as a sitemap.
342.16 -> So what are we gonna do we will add
344.64 -> we will copy all of the URLs and
347.92 -> copy all of the URLs which are affected and add in a .txt file and
352.96 -> upload it to Google search console in order to prevent these spammy URLs to again show up in the Google searches.
361.08 -> And for doing it
363.28 -> in currently in this section of the Google search console click on export button and
369.6 -> you can download CSV or you can just generate a Google Sheet. I'm gonna generate a Google Sheet and
376.36 -> in Google Sheet you will have a
380.36 -> tab
381.88 -> here another sheet right click on the table one and
387.4 -> here you will have all of the spammy URLs
390.88 -> which will show up. So all you need to do is just
395.12 -> copy these URLs create a .txt file and upload it to
401.72 -> sitemap section of the Google search console.
404.6 -> So go back to Google search console click on sitemap and after uploading that txt file and
411.88 -> add the URL of the file which you uploaded. So in my case
416.56 -> I have already uploaded this file as spam.txt.
422.76 -> So if I go to spam.txt
426.96 -> you can see all of these URLs are showing up.
432.16 -> All of the spammy URLs right only the spammy URLs and
436.8 -> just copy this spam.txt and
440.72 -> paste it here and hit submit.
445.56 -> Okay
448.72 -> Now you can see that Google discovered thousand pages and all of them were spammy pages
455.4 -> which were generated automatically due to the malicious code which our website got at one point. Now this will
464.16 -> speed up the process of removing those Japanese keywords from your website.
470 -> So that's it for the tutorial guys.
471.76 -> Let me know if you had that kind of issue with your website and if there was anything which was unclear in this tutorial
477.76 -> I'll try to explain it on the comments below and we'll create a follow-up tutorial with your questions if you guys want that.
485.08 -> Okay guys, so
486.76 -> that's it for this tutorial until next video. Have a great day.
