Fix Extra Code Display in WordPress Content | Broken Plugin or Bad Shortcode | WordPress Tutorial

If you see some extra code output in WordPress pages or posts or in content in WordPress, it is probably due to any plugin issue. May be a plugin has upgraded with breaking changes, and you need to update its shortcode in content. Or a WordPress plugin was deleted or deactivated due to some issue. In that case if the plugin had shortcode in content, you will see those shortcodes in the output instead of the real thing that plugin meant to display. In my case we are looking at a form displaying extra code in page.

First part of shortcode is the shortcode name and second part is variable name. We can also search that shortcode name in Google and in search suggestions we may be able to see a relevant plugin name matching our shortcode.

Now look at your WordPress plugins page. If you see a similar plugin deactivated there, just activate it and see if the problem is fixed. In my case problem is fixed. So watch for the deactivated plugins, you can also search shortcode name to find the missing or deactivated plugins or you can simply edit the relevant page and delete those extra tags or codes if you don’t need those.

82.4 -> and refresh the page
86.96 -> and we see the proper plugin output now in  my case problem is fixed so watch for the  
94.32 -> deactivated plugins you can also search shortcode  name to find the missing or deactivated plugin or  
101.36 -> you can simply edit the relevant page and delete  those extra tags or codes if you don't need those
