How to Fix a CPU Fan Speed Error Detected Message On Boot When Fan is Working

Getting a CPU Fan Speed Error when booting your PC on an ASUS motherboard? If you know your cooling solution is working then this is probably what you need to do. Often this can happen when using an AIO system. Repeat, Be sure your CPU cooling solution is working before doing this since we are going to be telling the system to not monitor the fan speed. We are using an ASUS ROG motherboard to show how.

Important: Be sure your cooling solution is working before doing this. We will be telling the system to ignore the fan speed. And please subscribe to help support our channel.

Step 1: Enter the BIOS screen by clicking the F1, F2, F12, or Del buttons after rebooting your computer.
Step 2: If in easy mode change over to advanced mode to change the settings
Step 3: Enter the MONITOR section of the BIOS settings.
Step 4: Find the Fan Speed Monitor section and in there should be the CPU Fan Speed option.
Step 5: Change the setting to ignore and save

Depending on the BIOS version these steps may be slightly different.

At this point, it should no longer give the warning. But be aware that this should only be done if you know the cooling solution is working and you are monitoring temps.

49.68 -> on ours, it is under the fan speed monitor  section. we'll change that to ignore
61.2 -> and then we are all set. there are no more  settings that need to be changed so we can  
65.52 -> now go to exit. save and you are good to  go. and you can reboot. and if you found
