0.53 -> What’s up guys, in this tutorial, I will
show you how to fix the problem when apps
5.46 -> are not opening up properly or crashing on
Mac OS.
10.01 -> This should be quite an easy tutorial, for
more information, click on the first link
14.71 -> in the description below.
16.85 -> If you’re having issues launching a specific
application or if the app is randomly crashing,
22.8 -> then you should first of all force quit the
process on your Mac.
26.77 -> To do so, you can use the shortcut command
and Q while having the app selected, or click
33.79 -> on the Apple icon on the top left of your
screen and select Force Quit.
38.91 -> A small window will show you a list of running
applications.
43.14 -> Select the correct one and then click on Force
Quit.
47.14 -> This will stop all processes related to the
application and can in some cases already
53.12 -> fix the app problem you are facing.
56.3 -> Before reopening the app, it’s suggested
to make sure that you’re running the latest
60.75 -> Mac OS version.
62.969 -> Open up your System Preferences.
65.23 -> On this window, click on Software Update.
69.07 -> Here, you should be able to download the latest
update in case there is one available to you.
75.93 -> You will also be prompted to restart your
Mac once the update is downloaded.
80.97 -> Restarting your device can also fix crash
and launch issues with applications.
86.47 -> You can then try to open up the application
again.
90.42 -> In case the problem persists, then you should
also make sure that the app you’re trying
94.46 -> to use is up to date and not corrupted.
97.79 -> If it’s an App Store application, then you
can simply open up your App Store.
102.63 -> Here, on the left-hand side, click on Updates.
106.369 -> This will allow you to update all of your
installed applications on your Mac.
111.03 -> If it’s not an App Store application, then
you should still be able to update the app.
116.24 -> Adobe applications can be updated through
the Creative Cloud application and some apps
121.99 -> like Discord will update automatically when
they start up.
126.799 -> Another common fix to crash issues is to ensure
that you have enough available storage left
131.8 -> for the application to run.
134.23 -> Some apps and games write new data in the
background and require some storage space
139.15 -> to properly work.
141.03 -> If you want to preview your current storage
usage, then click on the Apple icon again
146.22 -> and select About this Mac.
148.94 -> In the Storage section, you can see how much
storage your installed applications, files,
154.379 -> music, and photos are taking up.
157.67 -> To quickly free up some storage, you can empty
your bin, delete files in your downloads folder
163.4 -> or get rid of unused applications.
167 -> Lastly, you should consider which peripherals
and services the application you’re trying
172.12 -> to run is using.
173.87 -> For example, some programs will not launch
appropriately if you use a VPN connection.
180.28 -> Or some controllers will not work with specific
games on your Mac and the app might just crash
186.239 -> or not open up.
188.16 -> Disconnecting all of your peripherals before
launching the app can fix a lot of startup
192.68 -> issues.
194.22 -> In case you have any further issues or problems
following this tutorial, then I suggest following
199.799 -> my extensive guide linked in the description
below.
202.81 -> I hope this helped you out, leave a comment
if you have any questions, and see you in
